Spring has finally sprung, and as always has us all thinking about getting the patio ready for those balmy prosecco evenings. Spring is symbolic with a fresh start; leaves and flowers start to blossom, and giving your home a little refresh, inside or out, helps us look forward to the brighter days ahead.
Spring is the best time of year to paint outside as humidity levels are low which means there is less chance of moisture getting trapped in the surface. Low humidity also allows paint to dry quicker on its own.
Little Greene offer lots of fabulous products for both interior and exterior painting. I have used their water based Intelligent Exterior Eggshell to paint my own fence a few years ago now, and it still looks great. I applied their All Surface Primer [ASP] which I had tinted to suit the top coat [Mid Azure Green – of course it was green lol]. I applied this to existing fence boards which had been there a couple of years. I gave them a quick brush down and applied the paint straight on. So easy! And all quick drying – so no nasty smells!
You can have whatever colour you want for your fence. People think you have to stick to the normal ‘run of the mill’ colours that you pick up at the generic larger home stores. Go for something a little bolder and convert your backyard into a little haven of colour, making it your own. Now more than ever we all deserve a little colour therapy. And what’s the worst that can happen…? If you don’t like it…repaint it!
We can mix any colour you want within minutes! Go paint your backyard red…or Green… or Trumpet Yellow!
